The Foxes officially started this season with a win over Manchester City in the FA Community Shield. In the match between the Premier League champions and the FA Cup winners, Kelechi Iheanacho was the difference. The title gave a good start for Leicester for the new season. After winning the Community Shield, they started the Premier League with a narrow win over Wolves. Jamie Vardy scored the goal in the 41st minute, sealing the victory and the first three points.
The second match in Premier League was a disastrous one as Westham thrashed them. The fans were not expecting such a loss. The duo of Antonio and Benrahma ran riot through the Foxes’ defence. They came back to winning ways in the next match after winning against the newly promoted Norwich City. Manchester City took revenge against them in the fourth league match by beating them for one goal. After looking at these matches, we can see that Leicester can’t keep consistency. It continues in the games after this too. The next match for Leicester City was against Napoli in the Europa League. They started the game dominantly and had a two-goal lead till the 64th minute. But after that, they lost the lead, and Napoli scored two goals to draw the match.

They drew the league match against Burnley for 2-2. Leicester was able to continue their unbeaten streak in the Europa League after a 1-0 victory over Legia Warsaw. But they dropped points again in the Premier League after the draw against Crystal Palace. The most interesting game for Leicester during their difficult situation was against Manchester United. They shocked the football after thrashing the Red Devils for four goals. It was one of the best performances of the Foxes this season. One of the matches where they showed complete supremacy.
In the third match in Europa League, they won against Spartak Moscow for four goals. They continued their winning streak in the Premier League after a narrow win over Brentford. But Arsenal broke their streak after defeating them for two goals. The match against Leeds United was a draw as they welcomed the international break. Brendan Rodgers should find some solution to keep a consistency in the Foxes’ performances.
Leicester is currently sitting 12th in the Premier League table. They have dropped more than ten points from the winning position.
