Analytics: Veretout on target when Roma beat Fiorentina

Roma beat visiting Fiorentina on Sunday in the Italien Serie A, winning 1-3 (0-1).

Fiorentina were left with a man down early on, when Bartlomiej Dragowski was set off in the 17th minute.

Roma scored the first goal when Henrich Mchitarjan scored after 26 minutes, with an assist by Tammy Abraham, making it 0-1.

Roma’s Nicolo Zaniolo was sent off in the 52nd minute.

With 30 minutes on the clock, Fiorentina’s Nikola Milenkovic found the net, with an assist by Erick Pulgar, and equalised.

With barely 30 minutes on the clock, Roma’s Jordan Veretout netted, from a pass from Tammy Abraham, and gave Roma the lead.

Jordan Veretout again increased Roma’s lead, with an assist by Eldor Shomurodov, in the 79th minute. This brought the final score to 3-1.

The last meeting between the teams ended in a 1-2 away win for Roma in March 2021.

After this game in the Italien Serie A, Roma will play Salernitana (away) on 2021-08-29, Sassuolo (home) on 2021-09-12 and Verona (away) on 2021-09-19. Fiorentina play Torino (home) on 2021-08-28, Atalanta (away) on 2021-09-12 and Genoa (away) on 2021-09-19.
