The Data: Fulham held off Millwall to win

The away side Fulham took control of the game against Millwall and had a 2-0 lead. The third period saw Millwall coming closer but the Championship game finished with a 2-1 win for Fulham.

The visiting team Fulham started best and were already 0-1 up at the start of the game. After only 3 minutes Aleksandar Mitrovic scored, with an assist from Fabio Carvalho.

The team increased the lead to 0-2 early in the match when Fabio Carvalho made his mark as he found the net, with an assist by Neeskens Kebano, in the 8th minute.

The goal that reduced the score to 1-2 came in the final minutes, when Benik Afobe scored a goal for Millwall, with an assist by Matt Smith. But Millwall ran out of steam. The 1-2 goal was the last goal of the game.

The result means the fourth game in a row without a win for Millwall.

Both teams will be back in action on Saturday when Millwall host Cardiff at Cardiff City Stadium and Fulham welcome Hull.
