The Stats: A draw for Ecuador in their home game against Peru

Ecuador drew 2-2 (2-0) in their home match against Peru in the Copa America group B.

In the 23rd minute, Ecuador took a 1-0 lead through an own-goal.

Straight after the break, Ayrton Preciado found the net and increased the team’s lead.

In the 49th minute, Gianluca Lapadula scored a goal, from a pass from Christian Cueva, to reduce the score for Peru.

Just five minutes later, with an assist by Gianluca Lapadula, it was Andre Carrillo who scored a goal, thus ensuring that the team equalised to make it 2-2.

With one game remaining, in the qualifiers Ecuador are in fourth place in the table and Peru are in third.

Both teams play again on Sunday with Ecuador hosting Brazil, and Peru host Venezuela.
