The Data Zone: Sassuolo beat Parma

Sassuolo won its away game against Parma in the Serie A action on Sunday, finishing 1-3 (1-1).

Sassuolo took an early lead when Manuel Locatelli scored a goal in the 25th minute, making it 1-0.

Parma equalised to make it 1-1, when Bruno Alves scored a goal, with an assist by Hernani, in the 32nd minute.

With barely 30 minutes on the clock, Sassuolo’s Gregoire Defrel scored a goal, with an assist by Domenico Berardi, and gave Sassuolo the lead.

In the 69th minute, Jeremie Boga scored a goal, from a pass from Gian Marco Ferrari, to increase the lead for Sassuolo. The 3-1 goal was the last one of the game.

Parma’s losing streak now tallies eight in a row.

Parma have 5 losses with a 6–14 goal difference in the last 5 games, while Sassuolo have 3 wins, 1 draw and 1 loss and a 8–6 goal difference.

With one game remaining, Parma are in last place and Sassuolo are in eighth.

Parma play Samp away on Saturday. Sassuolo will face Lazio at home on Sunday.
