Spezia started the match well and took the lead early when Tommaso Pobega scored a goal after 15 minutes, making it 1-0.

Sampdoria equalised to make it 1-1, as Valerio Verre scored a goal, in the 32nd minute.

It took until the 73rd minute before Tommaso Pobega gave Spezia the lead, from a pass from Simone Bastoni.

Keita Balde equalised for Sampdoria, with an assist by Maya Yoshida, in the 80th minute. The 2-2 goal was the last goal of the game.

The result means the sixth game in a row without a win for Spezia.
