Alaves were left with a man down early on, when Javi Lopez was set off in the -5th minute.

The equaliser came in the final minutes, when Jose Luis Gaya scored a goal for Valencia. This brought the final score to 1-1.

The game was the fifth in a row without a win for Valencia.

Valencia have 3 draws and 2 losses with a 7–10 goal difference in the last 5 games, while Alaves have 2 wins, 2 draws and 1 loss and a 5–5 goal difference.

So, Valencia are still in 14th place and Alaves are in 16th.

In the next round, Valencia take on Barca at home at Mestalla on Sunday. Alaves play away to Eibar on Saturday.
