Stats Zone: Poor form continues for struggling Verona after loss against Crotone

Crotone entertained Verona in a match that finished 2-1 (1-0). The result meant Verona’s seventh game in a row without a win in the Serie A.

The hosting team Crotone started the match at pace and took the lead straight away already from the kickoff. After only 2 minutes Adam Ounas scored a goal from a pass from Simeon Nwankwo.

After that the game came to a long, indecisive standstill without either team managing to score. It took until the 75th minute before Junior Messias increased the lead, from a pass from Adam Ounas.

2-1 came through an own-goal in the 87th minute, which was the final result.

Crotone have 2 wins and and 3 losses with a 6–12 goal difference in the last 5 games, while Verona have 2 draws 3 losses and a 4–7 goal difference.

With two games remaining, Crotone are in 19th place in the table and Verona are in 10th.

Next time Crotone will play against Benevento on Sunday. Verona take on Bologna at home on Monday.
