Swansea City reach spot in qualifiers after drawing to Reading
After drawing 2-2 (0-1) away to Reading, Swansea City can look back at a great season in the Championship that saw them secure a spot in the qualifiers for.
It was 0-0 until Reading took the lead just after the half-hour mark through Yakou Meite, who scored a goal, with an assist by John Swift, making it 1-0.
In the 67th minute, Jamal Lowe scored a goal, to equalise for Swansea City.
With only seven minutes left to play, Swansea City’s Andre Ayew took the lead as he scored a goal, with an assist by Jake Bidwell.
The equaliser came in the 90th minute, when Tomas Esteves scored a goal for Reading, with an assist by Sone Aluko. The 2-2 goal was the last goal of the game.
It was Reading’s fourth game in a row without a win.
Reading have 1 win, 3 draws and 1 loss with a 6–6 goal difference in the last 5 games, while Swansea City have 2 wins, 2 draws and 1 loss and a 9–5 goal difference.
With two games remaining, Reading are in seventh place in the table and Swansea City are in fifth.
The teams play again on Saturday, with Reading hosting Norwich at Carrow Roadand Swansea City hosting Derby.
