Statistical Analysis: Wilson finds net twice as Newcastle beat Leicester

Newcastle defeated the hometown Leicester 4-2 (2-0) on Friday in Premier League action.

Callum Wilson increased the lead in the 73rd minute. The goal was his 12th on target in the league this season.

Marc Albrighton reduced the score for Leicester, with an assist by Jamie Vardy, in the 80th minute.

Leicester pulled one back again in the 87th minute of the game as Kelechi Iheanacho scored a goal, with an assist by Ayoze Perez. It was his 11th goal. But the team ran out of steam. The 2-4 goal was the last goal of the game.

Leicester have 2 wins, 1 draw and 2 losses with a 10–9 goal difference in the last 5 games, while Newcastle have 3 wins, 1 draw and 1 loss and a 10–8 goal difference.

With three games remaining, Leicester are in third place in the table and Newcastle are in 13th.

Next time Leicester will play against Man United on Tuesday at Old Trafford. Newcastle take on Man City at home on Friday.
