Sheffield Wednesday equalised to make it 1-1, when Josh Windass scored a goal, in the 39th minute.
It took until the 73rd minute before Josh Coburn gave Middlesbrough the lead.
With nine minutes left to play, Middlesbrough’s Duncan Watmore increased the lead as he scored a goal. This brought the final score to 3-1.
Middlesbrough have 2 wins, 1 draw and 2 losses with a 7–7 goal difference in the last 5 games, while Sheffield Wednesday have 1 win, 1 draw and 3 losses and a 4–10 goal difference.
