It had been long since Cardiff put something in the win column in the Championship. Finally, after five consecutive games without a win they are back on a winning track after beating Wycombe Wanderers 2-1 (1-1) home on Saturday.
The hosting team Cardiff started best and were already 1-0 up at the start of the game. After only one minute Kieffer Moore scored a goal.
Wycombe Wanderers quickly equalised to make it 1-1. Joe Jacobson made his mark in the 1st minute.
Straight after the break, Kieffer Moore found the net and gave Cardiff the lead på nytt. The 2-1 goal was the last one of the game.
Cardiff’s Will Vaulks was sent off in the 90th minute.
Cardiff have 1 win, 3 draws and 1 loss with a 6–10 goal difference in the last 5 games, while Wycombe Wanderers have 2 wins, 1 draw and 2 losses and a 9–8 goal difference.
With two games remaining, Cardiff are in eighth place in the table while Wycombe Wanderers are in 24th.
On Saturday, Cardiff face Birmingham at St Andrew’s and Wycombe take on Bournemouth at home.
