With six minutes left to play, Crystal Palace’s Tyrick Mitchell scored the decider as he scored a goal, with an assist by Eberechi Eze. Mitchell then completed the team’s come back. This brought the final score to 3-2.

Crystal Palace have 2 wins and and 3 losses with a 7–9 goal difference in the last 5 games, while Aston Villa have 1 win, 2 draws and 2 losses and a 7–9 goal difference.

With two games remaining, Crystal Palace are in 13th place in the table and Aston Villa are in 11th.
