After a goalless first half, Swansea City took the lead in the second in the Championship game against the Derby County. The away side couldn’t find a way back and Saturday’s game finished 2-1 for Swansea City.
The first half was goalless, but straight after half-time, Tom Lawrence made his mark as he scored a goal, with an assist by Nathan Byrne, to give Derby County the lead.
With barely 30 minutes on the clock, Swansea City’s Morgan Whittaker scored a goal, with an assist by Ben Cabango, and equalised.
Swansea City also made it 1-2 in the 66th minute, when Connor Roberts found the net scored a goal, from a pass from Matt Grimes. The team had then turned the match around, what brought the final score to 2-1.
Derby County’s losing streak now tallies six in a row.
Swansea City have 2 wins, 2 draws and 1 loss with a 8–6 goal difference in the last 5 games, while Derby County have 5 losses and a 3–10 goal difference.
With one game remaining, Swansea City are in fourth place in the table and Derby County are in 21st.
On Saturday, Swansea City will host Watford at Vicarage Road and Derby will host Sheff Wed.
