Schalke 04 started the match best and took the lead early when Amine Harit scored a goal after 6 minutes, with an assist by Sead Kolasinac, making it 0-1.
Hertha Berlin equalised to make it 1-1, when Dedryck Boyata scored a goal, with an assist by Marvin Plattenhardt, in the 18th minute.
There was a long delay before the next goal came. It took until the 73rd minute before Jessic Ngankam scored the decider, with an assist by Nemanja Radonjic. The team had then turned the match around. This brought the final score to 1-2.
Hertha Berlin’s Dodi Lukebakio was sent off in the 88th minute.
Schalke 04 now have four straight defeats.
It means that Berlin find themselves undefeated for the seventh game running.
