Bournemouth 1-0 Man Utd: United beaten again
Manchester United were beaten for the fourth time in their opening 11 Premier League games this season as Bournemouth ended their goal drought on Saturday lunchtime.
Eddie Howe’s side had failed to score throughout the whole of October before ending their run of five hours and 59 minutes without a goal when Joshua King opened the scoring in the final minute of the first half.
The former Manchester United youth was allowed to juggle the boy around the six-yard box before volleying home from close range as Aaron Wan-Bissaka backed off.
United’s best attacking spell came in the opening 15 minutes of the game but even then the best chance they created saw Andreas Pereira take an air shot at Daniel James’ cut back from 15 yards out.
Aaron Ramsdale wasn’t called into too much action all afternoon as Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford both lacked supply and subsequently never looked like scoring.
The 1-0 victory saw Bournemouth end the day in 7th place in the Premier League table, whilst Manchester United are 10th before Sunday’s games.
