Juventus 4-0 AC Milan: Old Lady win 4th consecutive Coppa Italia

Juventus put on a show in the second half as they ran out convincing 4-0 winners over AC Milan in Wednesday’s Coppa Italia final.

The Old Lady had been held 0-0 at half-time before three goals in the space on 21 minutes in the second half led Max Allegri’s side to a convincing win.

Mehdi Benatia headed the record champions of Italy in front after 56 minutes before AC Milan’s 19-year-old goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma had five minutes he’ll want back.  First the Italian teenager fumbled in Douglas Costa’s effort and moments later spilled Mario Mandžukić‘s header for centre-back Benatia to poke home his second.

Milan striker Nikola Kalinić headed into his own net from a Miralem Pjanić corner to make it 4-0 with quarter-of-an-hour to go.

It is the fourth consecutive season in which Juventus have won the Coppa Italia.  The Champions League semi-finalists are on course to win their seventh consecutive Serie A title which could happen as early as Sunday by avoiding defeat at AS Roma.
